Cappies Gala Singer Auditions

Auditions will be virtual. Please fill out the online audition form and submit a video audition with the below requirements.

Audition Requirements:

• State your full name and usual voice part for the camera.

• Use a neutral background if possible.

• Please record yourself framed in the camera from the waist up.

• Submit a video of yourself performing measures 47-77 of the provided song: “One” (linked below)

• Use the backing track provided (linked below). Do not use a different backing track. Do not sing a capella.

• Backing track begins at measure 45.

• Auditions should be memorized.

Communicated by the Performance Group Director.

Expectations:

• Singers will need to wear formal black dress clothing (long gown, tux, or black suit) at the Gala. These are not provided by The Cappies.

• Perform the opening and closing numbers at the Gala.

• Attendance at all rehearsals and punctiality at call times.

• Singers must pay for a Gala ticket. Singers are able to reserve one additional paid guest ticket.
