Cappies Gala Singer Auditions

Singer auditions are closed for the 2025 Gala! Auditions for the 2026 Gala will open in Spring 2026.

Auditions will be virtual. Please fill out the online audition form and submit a video audition with the below requirements.

Casting selections will be announced via email no later than 4/25.

Audition Requirements:

• State your full name and usual voice part for the camera.

• Use a neutral background if possible.

• Please record yourself framed in the camera from the waist up.

• Submit a video of yourself performing measures 47-77 of the provided song: “One” (linked below)

• Use the backing track provided (linked below). Do not use a different backing track. Do not sing a capella.

• Backing track begins at measure 45.

• Auditions should be memorized.

Rehearsal Schedule:

All rehearsals are MANDATORY.

• Langley HS

  • Tuesday, May 27 6:00-8:00pm

  • Wednesday, May 28 6:00-8:00pm

  • Thursday, May 29 6:00-8:00pm

  • Friday, May 30 6:00-8:00pm

  • Sunday, June 1 approx. 8:00-10:30am

  The Kennedy Center

  • Monday, June 2

    • (Call time 10:30am)

Ready to audition?

Expectations:

• Singers will need to wear formal black dress clothing (long gown, tux, or black suit) at the Gala. These are not provided by The Cappies.

• Perform the opening and closing numbers at the Gala.

• Attendance at all rehearsals and punctiality at call times.

• Singers must pay for a Gala ticket. Singers are able to reserve one additional paid guest ticket.
