Want to Join Cappies NCA?

Applications to join Cappies of the National Capital Area as a participating school open each August and close in September. To be a participating school in Cappies NCA for the current program year, schools must submit a school application prior to the deadline. Any school in the DMV area is welcome to apply, including:

• Any public, private, charter, or parochial high school.

• Grades 9 to 12 of a K-12 school that has not less than 100 students in Grades 9 to 12.

• A home school association representing not less than 100 students in Grades 9 to 12. Only one home school team will be accepted by any Regional Steering Committee.

There are three levels of participation available:

• Full, which requires the submission of a Cappies show for review and award consideration, an active critic team of 3-9 critics, and at least one active mentor

• Partial, which requires the submission of a Cappies show for review but NOT for award consideration, an active critic team of 3-9 critics, and at least one active mentor

• Limited, which requires only a critic team
