Gala Audition Informtion

Cappies Gala Dancer Auditions

Auditions will be virtual. Please fill out the online audition form and submit a video audition with the below requirements.

Dancer auditions for the 2026 Cappies Gala have closed!

Casting selections will be announced via email from the Choreographer.

Audition Requirements:

  • You will record and submit a video of yourself in form-fitting dance attire performing: 

    • a Grand battement/Kick combination

    • a Double Pirouette on both sides

      • Optional, turn combination/series (ex. Fouettes, a la seconde)

    • a Leap of your choice AND

    • a 32-count jazz combination (You may showcase the requirements above in your combinations).

    • Optional: include a 32-count tap combination

  • Please state your full name at the beginning of the video and make sure to credit the choreographer of any combinations you submit.

Expectations:

  • Costumes will be provided. Tights, undergarments, and shoes will not be provided. Specific requirements for these items will be communicated at the beginning of rehearsals.

  • Perform the opening and closing numbers at the Cappies Gala.

  • Attendance at all rehearsals and punctiality at call times.

  • Dancers must pay for a Gala ticket. Dancers are able to reserve one additional paid guest ticket.
